Reduced value-added tax rate extended
The reduced value-added tax (VAT) rate of 7% was set to expire after 30 September 2019, unless another law was passed extending it.

On 30 September 2019, Royal Decree Number 684 issued by the Thai government was published in the Government Gazette to extend the reduced VAT rate of 7% for another year, from 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2020.
