Mazars Thailand are pleased to announce the appointment of R. Michael Howard, C.A. as Managing Director of our Audit Practice.

Michael Howard has 36 years’ experience in public accounting and auditing, including 27 years as an audit partner of two international accounting firms, KPMG and Grant Thornton. His professional experience within the profession includes practice management and lead audit partner responsibilities for clients in both the public and private sectors, variously reporting under the national accounting standards in Canada, USA, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand and under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). 

Michael has acquired a wealth of varied, practical knowledge of the Asian business environment from living and working in the region since 1986 - Japan, Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.

His experience outside the accounting profession spans 13 years and includes diplomatic service, corporate finance/mergers and acquisition, strategic consulting and contract management.
