Amendment of registration fees

On 27 February 2018, the Cabinet approved, in principle, a draft Ministerial Regulation Prescribing Rates for Registration, Inspection of Documents, Certified Copies of Documents, and Other Fees in Connection with Partnerships and Limited Companies, which was proposed by the Ministry of Commerce.

The draft is summarized below:

1. Registration fees for partnerships and limited companies will be at flat rates.

Example:

Registration Current Rate New Flat Rate
Establishment of a partnership - THB 100 for any amount of share capital not exceeding THB 100,000
- The minimum fee is THB 1,000
- The maximum fee is THB 5,000
- THB 1,000 for any amount of share capital
Establishment of a limited company - THB 500 for any amount of share capital not exceeding THB 100,000
- The minimum fee is THB 5,000
- The maximum fee is THB 250,000
- THB 5,000 for any amount of share capital

2. The fees mentioned above will be reduced by 30% for registration through the e-registration system. This reduction shall be valid until 31 December 2020, and shall not apply to the registration of partnerships and limited companies in special ad hoc development zones.

3. The fee for transferring data from a computer network of the Department of Business Development to an applicant’s computer will be reduced from THB 60 to THB 30 per applicant.

The draft is currently in the process of being revised by the Council of State.
