Registering Partnership & Limited Co. Regulations

The Department for Business Development (‘DBD’) has amended the regulation, Registration of Partnership and Company Limited B.E. 2554.

The key points being:  

1)    If the application for registration is signed by a foreign authorised director in Thailand, only a copy of the authorised director’s passport is required to support the application (it is no longer required to show the visa arrival stamp as proof of having traveled to Thailand); and

2)    The copy of the identification card or proof of being a partner, promoter or director can now be certified by the owner of the document or certified by the authorised director who signs the application submitted to the DBD.

However, apart from the above mentioned documents, other documents e.g. shareholders’ bank statements are still required to be certified by the authorized director who signs the application.
