Apply online for visas and work permits
The Board of Investment (‘BOI’), in collaboration with the Immigration Bureau and the Department of Employment, has launched a ‘Single Window’ programme for visas and work permits. This is a programme allowing companies that receive BOI incentives to apply online for visas and work permits for foreign skilled experts.

The company can apply for both a visa and a work permit at the same time. The expat can then appear at certain locations in person to obtain a digital work permit and visa stamp.
The ‘Single Window’ programme will be launched in October 2017 at the One Stop Services Center in Bangkok, and at the immigration and employment offices in Chiang Mai and Phuket. After 1 October 2018, this system will also apply to companies not receiving BOI incentives.
