SMEs must prepare for the Asean Economic Community
Thai small businesses are being urged to prepare themselves for growing competition, especially from the upcoming regional market integration.

The government through the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) is studying the impacts of the Asean Economic Community (AEC), said Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva at the opening of the Thailand SME Expo 2011 exhibition on 10th March.
The OSMEP is also looking for ways to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) maximise the benefits that will come from the regional integration, due to take place in 2015, he added.
