Corporate income tax exemption on subsidies
Under the laws for enhancing the competitiveness of the country for targeted industries, there are many investment privileges and benefits given to businesses in such industries.

Those privileges and benefits includes a subsidy from the fund for raising the competitiveness of the country for targeted industries. In a Cabinet meeting on 10 October 2017, the Thai government approved a draft law that exempts a taxpayer from paying corporate income tax on this subsidy, received from 14 February 2017 onward.
