Thailand’s Insurers want Tax Incentives for Listing

Life and non-life insurance companies are asking the Finance Ministry to waive merger and acquisition taxes and reduce corporate income tax as incentives to list on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Natee Panichewa, CEO of ThaiSri Insurance Co, said the company was interested in listing on the SET if tax incentives or benefits to shareholders were offered.

He said increased capital was a secondary reason for listing to reduce the cost of capital reserves.
