Mazars attended Korean business meeting 2021

A Korean business meeting in the second half of 2021 was organized by the South Korean embassy, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and the Korean-Thai Chamber of Commerce (KTCC) at Westin Grand Sukhumvit on 30 November. In addition, H.E. Mr. Lee Wook-heon, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Thailand, was invited to join this special meeting as well.

In this meeting, information on the latest economic and trade trends in Thailand was shared, and management issues of Korean companies, as well as business prospects for 2022, were discussed. Moreover, the recent briefing on the Thai economy by Lee Jung-joo, the South Korean Minister of Commerce, and Kim Hyun-tae, a director of KOTRA, provided information on global trends and strategies for how to enter the Thai market.

Susan Park, Head of the Korea desk at Mazars in Thailand, members of the KTCC board of directors, and KOTRA advisors, were also present to discuss the business outlook for the Korean community in 2022.

Lee Wook-heon, the South Korean Ambassador to Thailand, said, "I would like to thank the management of the Korean companies who have attended this meeting despite the urgent situation due to the new COVID-19 variant, Omicron. It’s important that the embassy and companies collaborate to overcome the current situation and seek a solution together. It is also important to provide a place for companies to communicate and to support each other.”
