London, 11 May 2021: Mazars, the international audit, tax and advisory firm today announces the appointment of Firas Abou Merhi as global financial advisory leader.
Firas is a financial advisory expert with 20 years of experience working for Mazars in Europe and Latin America. He is the former head of Mazars’ financial advisory practice in Brazil and Latin America and since January 2018 has managed Mazars’ financial advisory practice in France while coordinating transaction services for Mazars Group. Firas is a US Certified Public Accountant and a French CPA (Expert-Comptable).
Mazars’ financial advisory service line counts over 1000 professionals based in more than 40 countries, advising on over 700 deals throughout 2020.
Further appointments have been made to cover different financial advisory specialisms. Thoralf Erb will lead financing, James Gilbey will head crisis and disputes, quality will be led by Thomas Notenboom and Pierre-Paul Jacquet will lead innovation, while Firas will also cover deals as part of his new role.
